Storm Hits Perth

Through the car window we watched as this monstrous dark cloud slowly crawled in over the ocean, then the wind picked up and the cloud grew darker it finally enveloped us, at this point the rain came lashing down, needless to say we pulled over in the nearest lay-by, where we stayed until the worst of it had passed, we were only an hour or so from home, after travelling over 6000kms over the last 14 days the last hour seemed to be the longest.
we arrived home safe and sound, but the rain continued to belt down, and the wind grew stronger, listening to the news tonight we learnt that a tornado had hit some suburbs further down from where we live, it lasted 10 minutes before it blew itself but out not before it had  torn off roofs and brought down rows of trees in some areas, over 600 emergency calls were made overwhelming the special services, some suburbs have no power some people have no homes, what a day to drive home.
Milo was happy to see us at the moment he is fast asleep at our feet, the family are happy we are home too, and now so are we.
Lots of great memories to talk about in the days to come.
