These Marmalade Hoverflies Common Banded Hoverflies (Syrphus ribesii) seem to be the most common in our garden at the moment.  This is the first one I've managed to get in flight this summer, so I thought it might be a suitable subject for Tiny Tuesday.  I've also photographed a Small White to add to this summers butterfly collection.  Even though they've been around the garden for the last couple of months they've always disappeared by the time I've turned up with my camera so I've added it in extra.  I thought I'd better have a morning wander around the garden as the forecast was for rain later and although it's been mainly showers, they've been quite heavy at times.  In fact it's raining now.  The good news of the day is that we have our car back.
