Out of Town Guests

As part of the Blip Community Challenge 'what to show your out of town guests'  I took Blip friends GadgetKid and G who were visiting from Dubai, around Brighton.  Luckily for us it was the First Anniversary of the British Airways i360 so I booked us on the 2pm anniversary flight where we were welcomed on board with champagne and cupcakes.  This shot is taken looking up at the pod with Brighton reflected in it.  I particularly love it's own reflection!

The i360 is the worlds tallest moving observation tower and is 162 metres tall.  It stands on the seafront of Brighton at the shore end of the ruined West Pier and from the viewing pod, visitors can experience 360 degree views across Brighton, the South Downs, the English Channel and on the clearest days across to the Isle of Wight. We were lucky to have a very clear day!

After our flight we walked along the sea front and I took my visitors to see the Brighton Pavilion, and then we strolled through the Lanes back to the car.  From their we headed into Rottingdean and I showed them Kipling's Gardens before coming home for a glass of prosecco with Alan at the 'Palace'  Then it was time for dinner at VIP our local Italian restaurant.

It was a lovely day and it was great to see them both again and to show them around our 'neck of the woods'.
