Fields of Battle - Lands of Peace

This public exhibition is spending the Festival on Regent Road. It's primarily focused on the experience of "The Doughboys", the US troops who fought in Europe during WW1, but there are some amazing images and it's well worth stopping by.

While you're there turn round and spend a moment to despair at the state of the Old Royal High School building. One of the city's greatest monuments and the source of it being referred to as "The Athens of the North" it's recent history under the "care" of the City Council is a shocking tale of neglect of lack of vision.
