Oxford university botanical gardens.

Today is my birthday. We try to do something special on or near to our birthdays to mark the occasion. Today I chose to go to Oxford to look around the botanical gardens. It was lovely (despite the sudden downpour amidst sunshine) and I found the "contemporary medicinal plant collection" fascinating - the flower beds were divided into different medical fields (e.g. neurology, haematology, oncology, etc) with an explanation next to each plant of its use.
After lunch out we looked around the shops a little before heading home. I really enjoyed today, but it went far too quickly. I'd definitely like to have a better look around Oxford when we have more time.
