A real success story

Every time I have an occasion to browse through the self improvement and achieving goals section of books at an airport I realise that Alepher, pictured here with Mary could have written them all, because what they all boil down to is: DECIDE ON YOUR GOAL, VISUALISE IT, GO FOR IT and DONT GIVE UP until you achieve it.
Alepher arrived this morning to let us know how she was doing in her last few months in Ecwendeni Nursing College, and inviting us to her graduation at Christmas.
So what? you might say, but her's is a remarkable story. Having no fees for Secondary school, she sneaked in to class every day and hid under the desks when fees were mentioned. She did every type of work she could get to help support herself and finally passed her MSCE Exam. She qualified for Nursing school against all the odds and now hopefully will graduate with distinction. (This is the seriously abridged version, and maybe I'd write the book, if I could write!!)

She has the biggest smile and the biggest heart, she has strict principles and a most amazing focus on what she wants to be and do.

She has the strongest faith in God, but somehow thinks I'm Him. God gets the praise and His humble servant does the business!!!!! Joking.

We have found the greatest pleasure at her success, but always realising that she is also our biggest pest!! She just doesn't give up.
She has always worked with us on her time off and one time worked on Christmas Day as there was no food at home!

We have treated her as one of our own, supporting her. while keeping her feet firmly on the ground,

When she graduates she will work for us until she is posted.
We need her for lots of our projects but certainly to work with women and particularly our girls in Secondary School. Inspiring, Educating and Challenging.

She is an inspiration to us all and will always be a force to be reckoned with.
