The Park

Another gentle day with my Mum.  We had a wander round Pinner Village Gardens, which the house backs onto.  When it was named there was a resident head gardener and the park lived up to it's name.  I used to walk through it on my way to Pinner Grammar School.  Forty years on, with the head gardener long gone and in these days of austerity, for the most part only the toughest shrubs remain and weeds abound.  It's still a super, green space amenity but sadly now misnamed.  Jamie enjoyed the swings and we all completed a full circuit before heading home.  The flower beds at the entrance still hint at it's former glory and yielded today's blip.
