Too Soon

After a few lovely mild days (and nights) everything thinks it is spring- the birds, the bees, and the plum trees. The problem is that there are two and a half months of frost, and possible snow, before tender plants can safely be exposed to the cold. Blossom and young fruit too soon means a lot of hard work for me, and a poor crop of plums.
