As the song goes - "Well, I stand up next to a mountain
And I chop it down with the edge of my hand" - except the WHW actually chopped me down. I found the last two stages very tough going over two days. 28 miles might not sound a lot but add in in midges, wind, rain, sun, more rain, cold (and repeat) + sizeable ascents and descents? Anyways, I enjoyed about 50% of it and I only have one stage of the WHW to complete to have walked all 96 miles. However to put that into perspective, it has taken about 18 months to do it all (stage by stage), whereas some mentalist has RUN the whole 96 miles in 14hrs 20mins!!
