Street market

Where the local displayed their fruit and vegetables for sale. BTW these are allocated casual slots marking on the "pavement". Permanent market holders were housed under better cover.

These are primarily natives from up country; ibans, bidayus, dayaks, coming to the city to get a better price rather than selling to the middleman. Often we would see a different crew occupying these spots throughout the week.
