lateral thinking

So my grand-daughter was inside a small enclosed space in a playground, designed to allow children, older than her, to climb up and down and get in and out. She looked around, and you could almost see her thinking "how do I get over to  Papa through this barrier?". Then the thought came... I'll ask for help! She reached through the gap and I lifted her out to be where she wanted to be. As adults we so often spend 99% of our time trying to "sort it out my/our way", ignoring the hand of friendship or offer of outside help. Long live the innocence of youth!
