Leap!

I got out for a long walk this morning and was thrilled to see this young buck standing in the meadow.  Sadly, I was not quick enough to catch a photo of him standing so alert. As soon as he saw me, he leapt across my path and disappeared in the thicket on the other side.  At least, I got a blip of him and caught the moment of surprise - for both of us!

It is so difficult to believe that my summer holidays are nearly over.  I am taking my daughter to Montreal for a last summer "hoorah" before she returns to her Fine Arts' courses and I return to work.  It has been a busy summer but many fine memories made...
