Empire State

For our final morning in New York, we wandered down Fifth Avenue, looking at some of the landmarks, including the Flatiron Building and, of couse, the Empire State Building.  As we had limited time, we did not want to pay the high charges to visit the top of the building (we have done that on previous visits to New York), but we did wander into the splendid entrance foyer and enjoy the splendid art deco designs.

As most people entering the foyer were tourists aiming for the ticket booths, the guy on the main information desk had very little to do.
