Masquerade

Well, I think the agapanthae(?!) are pretending to be palm trees with a tropical sunset! Lovely to see them flowering as they had only just started when we left them here at the end of July.
Garden is looking OK where I've bothered, but this autumn's project has got to be removing the previous incumbent's burgundy/acid yellow colour scheme and getting something more manageable and Me in. Thinking cap on!
The archaeological dig for the water supply is progressing but has uncovered either something clever or a bodge or a puzzle. Fingers crossed that whatever it is it is extremely simple to fix.
Today was a case of restocking food, and accidentally making raspberry jam (they were cheaper than they have been but still not a bargain. What happened to Pick Your Own?). Anyway, it's both LH and Dad's favourite so seemed a worthwhile brownie point to score.
Chilly enough to have heating on for an hour this evening despite mainly sunshine.
