Buff-tip caterpillars

Sensible creatures (not me!) stayed indoors today, avoiding the sudden torrential downpours. Not so these Buff-tip moth caterpillars clustered together on the underside of oak leaves and munching away all day. I saw lots of other caterpillars as well - it's that stage in the year.
