Rushing water

This is a wonderfully complex bit of river at the entrance to Glen Kin, near Dunoon, where two considerable burns merge in a jumble of rocks far below the old road and its unfenced arched bridge. This afternoon it was wild after so much rain - sometimes it's only a couple of gentle trickles rather than this tumult of brown and white.

One extra photo is of the still water on the other side of the bridge, where an apparent iceberg has formed from the foam which always covers the deep pool there. The other is a contrasting pool, a deep, muddy hole in the ditch beside the forestry track up the glen, thick with moss that in the spring anchors quantities of frog spawn.
