Some of the Herd

A late afternoon Addenbrookes Hospital appointment for my husband today, so I spent much of the day sorting out my files ready for my new batch of students. I also rearranged my desk, although the new configuration might not be as good as the old one!
 
Today’s picture shows seven of the eight Fallow deer that were in the orchard this afternoon, although only the legs are showing of two of them. This is about half the herd that we have locally; clearly they are finding some windfalls to eat.
 
Cold with some rain today, the deer were in the garden when it was raining.
