San Jose

Backblip

Still too hot but we're down to 100ºF so we're going in the right direction, finally. We decided we wanted to go out somewhere new to us but somewhere with air conditioning. In the New Yorker I'd seen that the San Jose Art Museum was having a photography exhibit so we decided to go check it out.

The museum was nice, small, but pretty good. There was one gallery closed where a new exhibit was being installed. Good gallery spaces, upstairs there's a window that overlooks the side of the Cathedral Basilica of St. Joseph which I liked a lot (above). After looking at the exhibits we had a late lunch in the café, fresh, good food. The museum shop was closed, there was a sign saying the person was on break-back-soon type thing, but they didn't return by the time we were ready to head out.
