Golden brutalism

On my ride to work this morning, I had to stop at traffic lights just across Grafton Bridge. While waiting for the lights to change, I noted the sun striking the external pipes on the top of the Medical School buildings, which are built in the Brutalist style of architecture.

My only photo today.

S has gone to Napier with daughter C and her two boys for the next few days. C is attending a history teachers' conference at which she is presenting a poster on teaching Te Tiriti o Waitangi (The Treaty of Waitangi in Pakeha). I am very impressed with her enthusiasm and how she is able to engender delight in learning history.
