Golden rose

What a great evening I had last night, at the Spen Valley Flower Club's 50th Anniversary Dinner.
This is the rose that was on the front of our place cards.All hand made by S. one of the committee members. She made 43 in all.
I thought it would make a good blip for Abstract Thursday.
It was so nice to catch up with old friends.
You can imagine the noise made by all 43 ladies as we greeted one another, and then started chatting!
The food was excellent ( apart from the panacotta, which was too heavy, and creamy)
A few nice glasses of wine too, and an interesting and amusing flower demonstration to round off the evening.
It was just after 10.30pm when I phoned for the taxi ( MrC) to come and collect us.
Came home feeling very happy!
