Autumn - ready for flight

Trees are losing their leaves rapidly now. In the case of our sycamores, this exposes clusters of winged seeds that seem to be reluctant to fly just yet. Looking at an individual cluster, they do seem very animal-like, hanging, ready to glide and spiral silently away. The wind is getting up tonight: in the morning I might find they've gone.
