Fawn

We caught sight of the deer in the paddock this afternoon and I went outside to photograph. Initially they were well hidden behind the grass and getting a reasonable was impossible but eventually especially when they realised they were being watched they got up from sitting position and enabled me to get one or two clear shots ( well almost clear, I did in fact remove a couple of long yellow grasses which went right across the middle of the young deer ). I was saying the other day that was getting difficult to distinguish between the mother deer and the fawn ( my wife gave a bollocking for calling it a 'deer foal' in my last blip ), but I could see today that the colour of the youngster is much browner and it yet to develop the white scut at the back.
