The Lozarithm Lens

The Old Forge (Sunday 15th October 2017)

Another boring diary blip. I spent most of the day organising the loft, but I did pop into Calne briefly in the afternoon, and when I got back I spent some time re-setting this stone border behind the car port so that I could park my trailer there, enabling me to get Archie (the car) under the car port.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
PP Arnold - Medicated Goo (1969)(Spotify)
PP Arnold has featured in LOTD three times with recordings from the sixties, and a new album of more recordings made in 1969 and 1970 for a record that remained unreleased has just appeared, The Turning Tide.
Most of it was produced by Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees but was left unfinished due to his other commitments.
Eric Clapton stepped in after she had been his support act on the Eric Clapton, Delaney & Bonnie and Friends tour and produced three songs using his band from the tour (who later became Derek and the Dominoes), along with Rita Coolidge and Doris Troy.Medicated Goo, is one of those three, co-written by Stevie Winwood, his bandmate from Blind Faith, and a single for Traffic in 1968.
