Blowing in the Wind

The weather today has been just right for the Mono Monday challenge of 'Movement'. The Stipa Gigantua was being blown by the wind when I went into the garden this afternoon.

The light earlier in the day was really peculiar. The sky had a pinky/orange glow at 10 am, well after sunrise, and remained a yellowy/grey until about 3.30pm. I did wonder if it was a result of heather burning on the moors but with the strong wind it would not be a good day for a controlled burn. Then this afternoon somebody told me they had heard it was due to sand being blown in from the Sahara. See extra for how the sun looked at 3.15pm.
