Melksham (Tuesday 17th October 2017)

A sudden dental problem during Monday evening meant an unscheduled trip to Chippenham NHS Dental Access Centre in the afternoon to get it sorted out, following which I popped over to Melksham to buy Waitrose groceries and call on C.
While I was in Waitrose car park I walked over to the weir on the Avon next door, as I had spotted a white object below it whilst driving in. This turned out to be a swan with two cygnets grazing in the weeds amongst the empty drinks cans. There was a moorhen in the background.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Bob Marley and the Wailers - Trenchtown Rock (recorded live, Lyceum Theatre, London, 18 July 1975)
The album Live! was released in December 1975 from the Wailers' two nights in London on 17-18 July, but when it was remastered onto CD in 2001 the recordings were all given as having been recorded on the second night. The Wikipedia entry on the other hand says "The majority of the songs were recorded during the 17 July performance; Lively Up Yourself was recorded during the 18 July performance."
A new Deluxe remastered release of the album was released this week which has the first night on one disc and the second on the second, and having listened to both discs and comparing with the earlier CD I have worked out that four (including a non-album B-side) came from 17th (Lively Up Yourself was not performed on that night) and the other four from the 18th, two of them heavily edited in length, but restored to their complete length on the new 2CD. Trenchtown Rock  was the opening number on both nights.
