Train up to Alexanderplatz and then we walked the last few hundred yards to the hotel in lovely autumnal sunshine - a real glow over everything, and people sitting out everywhere.
So, once unpacked (we’re here for four nights: may as well) we decided just to stroll oit and take in the neighbourhood - Scheuneviertel to the locals, or perhaps just to my guide book. And what a great place just to wander round. I was last in this City twelve years ago but I stayed in the old West Berlin and it was all a bit ordinary and unremarkable. Things have clearly moved on - or perhaps I was in the wrong place. This is all quite cool and arty. Enter MrP! Excuse me pal, where can I get a currywurst?
