Changing national landscape

Tammerkoski is one of 27 National landscapes of Finland. Tammerkoski is a channel of rapids between two lakes, Näsijärvi and Pyhäjärvi. In the picture is the north part of Tammerkoski seen from Satakunnankatu bridge. On the left, the former Finlayson textile mill. On the right, the former metal and textile factory Tampella. The former Tampella powerstation is behind the large arched window. The powerstation inlet channel is visible left of the window, rising some five meters above the downstream level. This National landscape is now changing, because tower buildings are being build to Ranta-Tampella.

Emma had a super early morning, their team left to Kotka to play the first A-girls national championships series game against PeKa. Pyrintö girls won by 50-80 and Emma retuned home in the evening after 11 hours trip.

Dear hubby (not posing) in the extra shot.
