Bea and Carys

Full on day. We went to the National Altar Servers Mass at Westminster Cathedral, presided over by Cardinal Vincent Nichols.

I carried a very heavy cassock and cotta around London and it and us eventually arrived at the Royal Opera House to see Alice in Wonderland. It was fabulously bonkers. We will go again next time it comes around.

C wanted to wait outside the stage door hoping to catch Gary Avis. We passed Kevin O'Hare on the way to the stage door but didn't realize until he had gone. She was rewarded with autographs from Harry Churches, Leticia Stock, Gina Storm-Jensen, Anna Rose O'Sullivan, Valentino Zucchetti, Itziar Mendizabal and Kristen McNally. Beatriz Stix-Brunell, who danced Alice finally came out and was lovely to Carys (as was Kristen McNally who had had a little chat with her) and was happy to have her photo taken. Sadly the combination of me shaking with cold and the poor light made for a poor photo. Gutting. The final person we saw was Principal dancer Vadim Muntagirov. He chatted to everyone, talked about his favourite roles, happily signed for C but she (surprisingly) was too shy to ask for a photo. At 11.10 there was only four of us left and we came to the conclusion we had missed Gary, so we finally headed for home.
