Meeting Mollie

I woke at about 5 and again a couple more times each time a lorry started up its engine before finally getting up at 7.30.

I made breakfast while Jon gave the dog a quick walk. As laybys go, we chose a nice one, set back from the road. There was even a toilet block, which was unlocked a 8.30. We got on the road about 9, stopping at around 11 in a layby in the Pennines a bit before Holmfirth. There I made coffee and knitted a bit! Jon read his book. We even chatted a bit. It was so nice to be away and relaxed, I am even finding the dog bearable.

We arrived at our campsite at about 1pm. We pulled in on one side of the road where we saw a sign, set in a valley by a river and the farm on the other side of the road. It's called Well-I-Hole if you want to look it up! No-one was about. Eventually a 70 year old cross dressing man with beautiful red nails, a blonde wig, a see-through top and black bra, plus 2 days of stubble on his chin and no teeth, told us just to park anywhere. I've heard of normal for Norfolk. Is he normal for Yorkshire? Anyway, he was pleasant. We parked, had lunch and just chilled. The dog had a long walk, then we drove over to Salford to catch up with Mollie. It was so lovely to see her and we all hugged. Now we are finishing a nice dinner in The Harvester at the Lowry outlet at Salford Quays. I took Jon to see the Blue Peter garden plus we had a look in some shops. We have chatted a lot, but will be heading back to the caravan soon. Mollie has a full day of lectures tomorrow and then she is coming back with us to the caravan.

So far all good!
