Blue and pink field hockey pitch

Today was the official 'opening' of the new field hockey pitch for the boys' hockey club. Obviously son no 1 doesn't play right now and can't be there due to him working in Singapore, but I gave him a running commentary on Messenger and even a video call of some of the highlights.
This new artificial water-based field is really blue, but the pink edges are very appropriate for Pinktober, Breast Cancer Awareness Month. If you want, please follow this link  and click on the pink button for free mammograms for those who can't afford them otherwise.

Thanks so much for all 69 great entries for last Thursday's Abstract Thursday with the optional theme 'movement'.  I loved all the ICM and other in camera techniques.  If you're interested in experimental photography do have a look at Graham Colling's entry and follow his links to find out about an exciting technique I hadn't heard about before, his entry is among the 5 picks of the week. Next Thursday it's the first Thursday of the new month, and thus it's a theme free Abstract Thursday as usual. The tag will be AT123 :-)

Here are the 5 picks of last week:
hinden                for an edit with pastel motion
GrahamColling for an image done with a most interesting technique
Hanulli               for recreating spirograph with coloured lights
Inverculain        for creating a turning roulette table out of a bar
kengrace           for an architectural abstract with a definite sense of rhythm

Thanks so much for your kind comments, stars and even a fave for my pink still life yesterday
