High and Dry

Last night there was a storm that took out power and gale force winds and rain created havoc throughout the area. You would hardly believe it today, looking at this scene at the Motueka Beach this afternoon.

This yacht is usually moored further out, closer to the salt water baths. I presume the owner listened to the forecasts and secured his boat as close to shelter as he could. He will need to wait for a high tide to get it back off the beach again.

We have been lucky here and dodged the weather bullet although the  power was off for a while. Most of the damage has been around the coast a little and on the other side of the bay in Nelson.

An N or an R ?  Nasty storm?  Relaxation on the boat? Or Rudder - a boat has a Rudder.
