Ladybirds At Work

The recent ladybird orgy has borne fruit, with rampaging larvae scoffing aphids. Note the greenfly huddled together near the top of the shot. Their hours are numbered.

Warm weather has brought out myriad tiny insects and I was spoiled for choice to blip. In extra shot is a wee native solitary bee sipping nectar from an Angelica flower. It looks very clean without a mass of pollen clinging to its leg and body hair. Usually they are more yellow than black.
