A view from Jeanneb

Made it!

We have travelled back to Cape Town today via the wine region of the Western Cape, through the Cape Folded Mountains and Route 62 (SA's equivalent to R 66 in the US)

Lovely sunny day and we had lunch out side at a winery and a few tastings too.

It was decided that if at all possible we would take the cable car up Table Mountain on our arrival in Cape Town from the north. There was drifting cloud but it was fine and open! The cable car rotates as you ascend! Very interesting and worth while doing. There were Rock Dassies at the top a bit like a marmoset, scurrying around your feet. Great views all round we could have stayed longer but it was 5.00 pm when we got there so just had half an hour.
In the thumbnail you can see the Lion's Head and Robben Island out in the bay.

Dashing out now for dinner so will leave it there. Thanks for your comments
