Despite the bitterly cold wind...

... when the sun came out, a photo was essential.

I was on my way back this afternoon from my latest trip to Lancashire when the landscape was lit up for a short time, prior to a rather cold shower.  According to the forecast, this was but a taste of the winter weather to come over the weekend.
