Bourton At Christmas

I bought this jigsaw a year ago and never ended up giving it away so I decided I’d do something completely uncharacteristic for me and try to put it together myself. I don’t usually like jigsaw puzzles - or I think I don’t - but maybe I’m ready for a new challenge, or maybe I need something to help me chill!  I spent an enjoyable 45 minutes or so before going to bed, winding down, drinking tea and listening to Christmas music.

Bourton - or Bourton-on-the-Water - is a lovely little village in the Cotswolds in the heart of England, north-west of Oxford. The river Windrush flows through the centre of the village, crossed by several low arched bridges. Sometimes referred to as the ‘Venice of the Cotswolds', it’s beautiful but more than most nearby villages, heaving with tourists in the warmer months. I usually avoid it unless I’m passing by in the quieter months. I’m sure it’s very beautiful when it snows.
