Tuesday: Genealogy Brick Wall Busted

An email hint from "FindMyPast" has delivered my great-aunt's baptism record. The third entry down on today's blip should be for Mary SOWDEN (my maternal grandmother's sister) but the surname has been mis-spelt as SOWREN - no wonder numerous searches drew a blank!! I knew the lady as Auntie Polly and she was an important figure in my childhood, very Victorian and VERY strict, but we loved her and her brother and sister :-))

Weather started off cold and frosty with pink sky only 3ºC when I set off at 11am. Lots of snow on the mountains. Rain arrived early afternoon and it's chucking it down now!!
The spotted woodpecker was on the bird feeder this morning, for some reason the other birds all took fright and flew away when it arrived!
Tuesday Gang Christmas Dinner was at our favourite garden centre, the meal was delicious - veggie option was sweet pepper stuffed with tagine and lotsmore tagine sauce over the traditional veggies. Pudding was chocolate roulade with cream, we were all VERY full ...
