Humbugs

Looking up Ivegate at the reflected illuminations.

Incidentally, the pharmacy on the left, Rimmington's, is where mint humbugs laced with arsenic were sent for testing during the Bradford sweet poisoning of 1858.

Something about the colours and lighting in this image made me think of both Hopper's Nighthawks and the album cover for Ziggy Stardust, but when you look at them there's no real similarity. No people for one thing, but maybe a certain mood. Probably just the green and the dark.
