Bridge 128

This is Stone Bridge, number 128, where Cheyney Road crosses the canal next to Chester University.

It seems a strange name for what is essentially a modern concrete bridge. I'm guessing that this is a well established name which became meaningless when the bridge was widened in the 1930s to accommodate increasing traffic. I think this has always been a major route out of Chester and the houses around here are late Victorian.

The surroundings aren't brilliant so I've gone for a closer shot than normal.
