Another one not mine!
My sister sent me a picture of her tea tonight... a roast dinner made by her and mam. Laura decided to return home a day earlier for Christmas as she had some annual leave to take. My journey south will start 5.30am tomorrow!
My day had been planned to focus on one task- analysing data. I managed to be in the office early but was then inundated with little tasks that I had forgotten about and held me back. I finally managed data analysis later on but it meant leaving the office later than planned and all of my at-Home tasks were therefore done whilst waiting for my tea to arrive (and meant I got no time to sit with a cup of tea!).
I worked a little from home too, finishing off an application and also making a decision about the moves I plan to make come September. I officially only have 9 months of the PhD left and in that time I have absolutely loads to do, so it would seem natural that I try and get it done ASAP... or so you’d think!
I ended my day with scheduling my next round of data collection and trying to make sense of what is to come. I’m going to have a lot of time away from the office, my supervisors and my comfort zone over the next 3 months so it is only natural that I’m more than anxious about my next moves and how I am going to get all of my work done between now and the date of submission.
But first I have a Christmas break to take, some interesting non-PhD tasks to complete and also a wedding to set in stone (i.e. get everything sorted so that all I need to do is attend!). All will be completed by January 1st 2018 ready to rock and roll.
