First Communion

As usual (weather - or in the case of two years ago deer - permitting ) last night we went to Holy Trinity in Dunoon for the First Communion of Christmas.

This is held in candle light and at the end of the service (an hour into Christmas Day and before the candles by the altar were extinguished) I managed to take this which is typical of the wonderful floral and Christmas decoration that had been loivingly done in what is a typical small but (in recent years) nicely restored 19th century Scottish Episcopal Church.

This morning after breakfast we walked up the hill again and what a contrast in the weather from yesterday - my extra photos from yesterday and today tell the tale.
