A-Z food challenge: O is for Oman

Not a huge selection for today, in terms of picking a country (pretty sure that Oman is the only 'O' country, tho' please correct me if I'm wrong).

I felt like something quite simple and hearty so when I stumbled on a recipe for lamb and date stew, I knew this was the dish. The recipe was really simple to make and turned out lovely, although quite sweet from the dates!

I think that's why the picture is a little bit poor today - I was too hungry and just wanted to eat! So I really didn't make much effort in getting a good shot. (Often my beau takes the pictures for me on his camera and he was working late tonight, so perhaps that is the real reason!)
