Bowie, Bolan and the Brooklyn Boy

Finished Tony Visconti’s book this morning, having enjoyed a few days in his company. I was interested to read about his musical beginnings as bass player in various dance bands around NYC. I gained insights into the production process and the personalities of some of the people he worked with. Bowie came out in a good light, but Bolan less so!
