The weather today wasn't quite as forecast, and the morning sun soon turned to grey sky and squally rain, but MrM and I had a good day out all the same. We looked round three places we'd never been to before - Haydon Bridge, Bardon Mill and Haltwhistle - and had a very nice belated birthday lunch at a pub in Haydon Bridge.

Home alone with Louie this evening as MrM has gone to play at a ceilidh in Berwick. Had a lovely long catch-up chat on the phone with V, an old friend. And after tackling a couple of chores I intend to relax - back at the day job tomorrow morning...
