Silver threepenny bits

Inspired by Paula's recent blips I actually remembered where I had stored my collection of silver threepenny bits. Of course I have spent far too long looking at them and thinking about my Mum. In the 1950s and 1960s she would always ask if the shopkeeper had any of the coins and she would take them in her change and put them into my moneybox. I suppose she thought they might be worth a lot of money at some time in the future. They are all in pretty poor condition and are not worth anything but I am fascinated by them. There are 3 from the early 1900s bearing Queen Victoria's image and 3 from King Edward VII 's reign. His image is facing in the opposite direction to all the others. The 2 shiny coins are from 1965 and from New Zealand. I have no idea how she came across these 2 coins. So much history in this small collection and I wonder how many times these coins changed hands over the years.
