The Lozarithm Lens

Curzon Street Cemetery (Monday 22nd January 2018)

I opted to spend the morning in my heated outbuilding, and while there I was able to watch the garden bird feeders from closer by and without the backlighting that hinders viewing from the house. At one point I counted seven goldfinches on them, which I think is a record. I also got a much better look at one recent visitor that I have puzzled over, a finch of some sort. It isn't a goldfinch or a male or female chaffinch and lacks all their distinctive colourings, but I don't recognise it from other finches in books, so I am now wondering if it is a juvenile.
I was waiting in for a parcel which arrived after lunch. Unpacking and dealing with the contents meant that I left it rather late to go outside to road test the new Sigma 70-300 lens that turned up yesterday and dusk was unfurling swiftly. Nevertheless I got two or three shots including this headstone.
In the background, over the road, can be seen the Leaning Tower Of Pizza chimney that extends from my neighbour's single storey kitchen (and has appeared in a few blips in the past), and peering out from behind that is the grey window that is my front bedroom.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Lisa Hannigan and Luluc - Saturday Sun (2013)
While I was in the outbuilding studio I was testing some sound equipment by playing the cover disc on the latest  Mojo magazine, Green Leaves - Nick Drake Covered. All of the tracks were exclusively recorded by various artists especially for the disc and none of them have been posted on You Tube, apart from the final track which was borrowed from an earlier compilation, Joe Boyd Presents Way To Blue - The Songs of Nick Drake, released in 2013, and this is it.
