The river

In fact this is no river, it is part of my path through the forest during my daily commute. After a day of rain, the path looked more like a river, well at least a brook. I had to step quite carefully in order not to get too wet.

In any case, I found it very interesting that the water formed very clear squares in its surface. These seemed to move (although they kept still) with the flow, and I could not understand how they were forming. Again, nature makes wonders, but strangely symmetric and consistent.
