Tam in a twirl

It's Robert Burns' birthday today and this will be the first time in years we're not going to a Burns Supper in Scotland :-( Hard to get haggis over here and I think the ingredients would be hard to find here too, even neeps ! So I'll have to celebrate it with a Blip at least. I've combined two images taken today, one an image of a shell with twirl, the other an image of  a small sketch we have of Tam o'Shanter  by a William Donachie, a dark image where you can see the outline of the ruin of the Auld Kirk in Alloway  and Tam racing on Meg towards the Brig o' Doon. While being so drunk and scared Tam must have felt all in a twirl ;-) To the immortal memory of Robert Burns and for Abstract Thursday's theme of 'twist/loop/twirl'.

Don't forget to tag your entries with AT135 and do tell me if your entry doesn't end up in the whole collection of AT135 tagged Blips, not even after half an hour and that while you've tagged it correctly !

Thanks very much for your kind comments and stars for yesterday's crocuses, they've all closed today because the temperature has gone back to single digits !
