Life through the lens...

Empty shell.

An empty snail shell, but full of rain water.
Again we have had a grey day of mizzle and drizzle.Quite warm though.
Nipped into the garden to photograph a clump of snowdrops. However they all turned out blurred as the wind was blowing the flowers.
Nearby were quite a few of these empty shells, and I thought they made an interesting photo.

Inspired by a recipe in the Yorkshire Post yesterday, I spent this morning making a rhubarb frangipane tart.
It took a very long time, but after trying a small piece with my afternoon cuppa I think it was worth it.
The recipe in the YP only had some thin rhubarb batons on the top for decoration. Not nearly enough . I didn’t think you would taste it.
So I roasted some rhubarb in orange juice, and put a layer on the bottom of the pastry case, and then more on top of the frangipane.
Very moorish, and quite rich. Nice with cream!

We are having a relaxing afternoon listening to Radio Leeds.
After two hours of brass band music, it is now music from the shows. All very enjoyable.
Certainly brightens up a miserable day.
