Abstract Thursday

Yesterday was cutting and preparing the fence panels, today was installing and tidying up.

Nothing in DIY is ever straightforward when I do it. Took a time to pull down the rotten old fence and clear away the Virginia creeper and ivy during which I pulled off the supporting batten on one side and loosened brickwork on the other.

Managed to remedy that only to find that despite measuring and checking the gap several times I’d cut the panel 1cm too big. Fortunately that was quickly resolved by replacing the supporting batten that has taken a while to refit with a thinner piece of wood and hey presto! It fitted.

By the time it we had cleared up it was late afternoon, time for a walk and to finally post the application for Attendance Allowance. Nice to see the back of that.

Today’s blip is of..... what? And is my contribution to Abstract Thursday. Used Prisma which I’ve not touched for a while. Thank you Ingeborg for hosting.
