10 yo and I had the day mostly to ourselves, once we'd dropped 13yo at his friend's on the way into town.

We enjoyed Early Man, although it's probably the weakest of the Aardman films to date. There were enough football in-jokes to keep me entertained, and 10yo was happy enough with the whole thing.

We then headed over to the Media Museum for a mooch. For some reason it had been years since I'd been in the history of photography floor - possibly because it's accessed by its own stair well and easy (for me) to miss. I'm not a photography or camera geek but it is an impressive collection - I don't think it's changed much since I first went round it with my Dad in the early "National Museum of Photography, Television & Film" days, we'll see how long it survives in the latest "Science and Media Museum" guise.  We also popped into Nudrat Afza's City Girls exhibit, which, as a City Girl herself, 10yo found accessible and engaging (even if most of those photographed were actually City Women.). Hopefully this will find it's way into the National Football Museum at some point.

Wrapped around all this was enough logistical stress to wipe me out for the rest of the week, but we got through it.
